The following rules include reasons for voiding bets.
If there is a presentation ceremony, bets will be settled in accordance with the official result of the relevant governing body at the time of the ceremony.
If there is no presentation ceremony, bets will be settled in accordance with the official result of the relevant governing body immediately after the event.
The above applies regardless of any subsequent disqualification or amendment to the result (except if an amendment is announced by the relevant data source within 24 hours of the initial settlement of the relevant market in order to correct an Error in reporting the result, in which case we will resettle the bets as appropriate).
In the event of a tie where we did not offer a ‘tie’ or ‘draw’ selection, Dead Heat rules will apply to affected bets.
If a tournament/round is restarted from the beginning, all bets placed after the official ‘off’ time will be void, except on markets that have been unconditionally determined, which will stand. Bets on 2 or 3-balls will only be void if placed after the tee-off time of the relevant 2 or 3-ball.
For 2 or 3-ball markets, bets will stand irrespective of whether the players play in the same group or pairing as each other.
In the event of a play-off, the result of the play-off will determine the winner of the tournament only. Even if 3 or more players take part, such a play-off has the sole purpose of deciding the winner of the tournament, and the relative finishing positions of the unsuccessful play-off participants are not affected.
If a bet is placed after the relevant result or outcome is known, then the bet will be void.
Tournament bets will only stand if the minimum number of holes to provide an official result are completed. If a tournament is shortened and we settle the tournament markets, bets placed after the last completed round will be void.
If a player does not start a tournament, then all bets on that player will be void.
Unless otherwise stated, any player that withdraws from a tournament after they have completed 3 holes or more is considered to have played in the tournament, and, therefore, any bets placed on that player will be settled as losing bets. Any bets that involve a player that has withdrawn before they have completed 3 holes will be void.
In any 'to qualify' market for any tournament, the winners are the players that qualify for the tournament, whether they compete in the tournament or not. Bets will be settled after the qualifying stage, and any subsequent disqualification or amendment to results will not count.
If a player withdraws without playing a stroke, then all bets on the relevant markets, including bets on that player, will be void.
If all players fail to complete a particular round for any reason, the winner is the player with the lowest total score after the previous round.
If all players fail to complete the first round, then all bets will be void.
In 2 or 3-ball betting, the winner will be the player in the pairing or group with the lowest score over 18 holes.
If a player in the 2 or 3-ball does not tee-off, all bets in that 2 or 3-ball are void.
In the event of a 2 or 3-ball being rearranged, all bets in that 2 or 3-ball will stand as per the original pairings/groups.
If a player posts a score but is later disqualified, all bets will be settled on the score that the player initially signs for that round. The signing of the card is deemed as the weigh-in, and subsequent disqualification or amendment of result will be ignored for settlement purposes.
Bets will be settled on completion of the hole, and any subsequent penalties or disqualification will not be taken into account.
If a hole is not completed, bets on that hole will be void unless the market has been unconditionally determined.
For all individual matchplay markets (for example, individual matches in the Ryder Cup), if, after 18 holes, the match is tied, then:
For team matchplay events, bets on the winner of any singles match will be void if that match does not reach its natural conclusion. A singles match will be deemed not to have reached its natural conclusion if, for example, the applicable players agree to a half because the overall team contest has already been determined.
Victory margin markets will be settled on the official tournament result, not including any playoff.
In top player betting, the winner will be the player with the highest placing at the end of the tournament.
Each way bets will be settled in the same way as Outright each way bets.
Only the players quoted count for settlement purposes.
If there is a tie, Dead Heat rules will apply.
When more than one player shares the same lowest score in a tournament, and there is no play-off, Dead Heat rules will apply.
Players who are disqualified or withdraw before they complete 36 holes (or 54 holes in the case of a 3-round cut) are deemed to have missed the cut.
Should 36 holes (or 54 holes in the case of a 3-round cut) not be completed, then all bets on this market will be void.
Players who are disqualified or withdraw subsequent to posting a score equal to or better than the official cut mark (after they have completed 36 holes) will be deemed to have made the cut.
PGA Tour: any player who makes the cut or the modified cut (‘made cut, didn’t finish/MDF’) will be settled as having made the cut (according to the www.pgatour.com leader board).
If any of the players quoted as part of the big ‘X’ are non-runners, bets will be void on this market.
We will apply the equivalent of a Tattersalls Rule 4(c) deduction to this market if the price of the field is sufficiently affected by withdrawals.
Unless otherwise stated, any bets involving a player to finish in the top 5/10/15/20 (or similar) will be deemed successful if the player finishes in a tie for the last-named place. For example, if a bet is placed on a player to finish in the top 10 and the player finishes in tied tenth position, the bet will be settled as a winning bet.
